Description Gadi Ickowicz 2014-05-01 12:18:20 UTC
Description of problem:
When importing a vm as clone with collapse snapshots, all disks' formats are thin-provision by default

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhevm-webadmin-portal-3.4.0-0.15.beta3.el6ev.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Export vm with snapshost
2. Select export domain, go to vms sub-tab and select the vm then "Import"
3. Select the VM and select "Collapse snapshots"
4. Click on the disks sub-tab in the import dialog

Actual results:
All disks are set to thin-provision by default

Expected results:
Each disk should have its format preserved by default, according to its format in the original vm

Gadi, can you please recheck?
I've created a VM with two thinly provisioned disks and two preallocated disks, exported it and clicked on import from the export domain, the collapse snapshots checkbox was checked by default and the disks original allocation was preserved as it should

We spoke about this face to face. Still reproduces

When creating a VM with preallocated disks and taking a snapshot, the VM disks will be shown as thin provision also in the VM disks subtab so it only makes sense that the same behavior will apply when importing the same VM, this subject is addressed in BZ 1117003.
