[Nagios] Appearance of status information needs to be improved for certain services when their status changes to UNKNOWN
Last modified: 2018-01-30 06:12:08 EST
Created attachment 892855 [details] screenshot Description of problem: ----------------------- Consider a host that was being monitored by Nagios, whose root partition was full. The status of services CPU utilization, Memory utilization, Network utilization, Swap utilization changed to UNKNOWN because the root partition was full. The status information for these services showed a message in an improper manner (see screenshot). The appearance of the status information needs to be improved. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gluster-nagios-addons-0.1.0-25.git25f0bba.el6.x86_64 How reproducible: Saw it once in my setup Steps to Reproduce: 1. Cause the root partition to be full on a node being monitored by Nagios. 2. Check status of services like memory utilization, CPU utilization etc. Actual results: The status information does not appear properly on the UI ( one character per line ) as seen in the screenshot. Expected results: Show the status information in a proper manner. Additional info:
Issue persists. The services CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, Swap Utilization still have long xml output displayed as part of status information. Moving to ASSIGNED.
Taken out of Blocker list. We don't think, it's a blocker. It will be release noted. Removing the flags.

Can you slightly modify it to: When certain commands invoked by plug-ins fail, irrelevant outputs are displayed as part of performance data.
