Description of problem: rhn-virtualization-host and rhn-virtualization-common shipped with RHEV-H 6.5 (20140407.0.el6ev) are outdated. They need to be updated with version which includes RHBA-2013-0814 errata: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2013-0814.html Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEV-H 6.5 (20140407.0.el6ev) rhn-virtualization-common-5.4.34-4.el6sat.noarch rhn-virtualization-host-5.4.34-4.el6sat.noarch How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install RHEV-H 6.5 (20140407.0.el6ev) 2. register it on RHN using the Admin UI 3. Press F2 to open the root console 4. type "rhn-profile-sync" Actual results: process fails with error in logs: 'poll_through_vdsm() takes exactly 1 argument' Expected results: Profile is updated successfully Additional info: This feature is required in order for Subscription Asset Manager to operate and count VMs running on a given hypervisor.
3.3.3 is already in progress in QE, unless this is urgent and requires a respin of rhev-h, i propose to postpone it to 3.3.4.
Eyal, could you please confirm if the 3.3.3 RHEV-H is planned to ship the old rhn-virtualization-host-5.4.34-4? Maybe the errata was already applied and newer version is included into the ISO. I mean we do ship newer platform packages as they become avaialble without specifically asking for each one. If rhn-virtualization-host is missed, maybe we should improve the process somehow to make it updated automatically to the latest version in the repo?
