Description of problem: This is maven plugin which provides goals to run the Annotation Processing Tool (apt) against project sources. Since apt is no longer available in JDK8, this package should be, IMO, dropped from the distribution. Porting it to JSR-269 doesn't make sense. There are currently 2 packages which BR this plugin: glassfish-hk2 jboss-dmr These can use maven-processor-plugin instead.
