Doc Type: Enhancement
Doc Text:
The readdir-ahead translator will be enabled by default on newly created volumes in RHS-3.0. This will improve readdir performance for the new volumes. NOTE: readdir-ahead is not compatible with RHS-2.1, so new volumes created with RHS-3.0 cannot be used with RHS-2.1 clients until readdir-ahead is disabled.

Red Hat Product Errata RHEA-2014:1278 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE Red Hat Storage Server 3.0 bug fix and enhancement update 2014-09-22 23:26:55 UTC

Description Kaushal 2014-05-12 07:11:45 UTC
Readdir ahead should be enabled by default on newly created rhs-3.0 volumes when cluster op-version supports it. For already existing volumes, readdir-ahead will still need to be enabled manually.
