Description Greg Padgett 2014-05-12 14:23:42 UTC
As the hosted engine VM is imported into the engine during setup, the following is logged (to the engine log and also a similar audit log entry):

[org.ovirt.engine.core.dal.dbbroker.auditloghandling.AuditLogDirector]
(DefaultQuartzScheduler_Worker-3) [266af7f3]
Correlation ID: 266af7f3, Job ID: 2c46a619-bc01-4b85-96bd-d3fc5e073901, Call
Stack: null, Custom Event ID: -1, Message: VM HostedEngine was created by
<UNKNOWN>.

If possible, it would be better to log that this was done by the system rather than an unknown user.

Oved, isn't this infra?

Comment 2 Oved Ourfali 2015-05-14 16:43:27 UTC
It is, but unknown is a general definition in logging for things that aren't known in the system.

Greg, have you assigned yourself on that? Did you check this out?

Putting needinfo on Greg just in case I'm wrong. Otherwise, will close as won't fix, as doing a different handling for this case a lot of effort, for import that happens once when importing the hosted engine.

Closed by accident. Let's wait for Greg.

Thanks Oved, and sorry for the delay (PTO). I noticed the issue and created a bug, but that's all... I have no problem with wontfix, especially given the effort vs benefit.
