I am attaching the patch and .spec files. An rpm built from this is available at http://millermart.in/blag/content/elinks_rpm_with_lua/elinks-0.12-0.37.pre6.fc20.x86_64.rpm

Thanks for the bug report and the patch! Fixed it in elinks-0.12-0.39.pre6.fc21, will merge it into stable branches hopefully next week (together with the fix for bug #1098789).
