Created attachment 897257 [details] boot.log Description of problem: On my Fedora 20, up-to-date to the latest packages, I have an external monitor set as primary, with the built-in monitor from my Lenovo T530 as secondary. Since one of the last updates, when I reboot/boot the machine, the built-in display is blank. After logging in, I can adjust the display settings on Gnome, changing the resolution for the built-in display to some smaller resolution, apply the changes, then going back to the previous resolution, and apply again, and the built-in display is back to life. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always, upon reboot/cold boot. Steps to Reproduce: 1. On a setup as described, reboot Actual results: The built-in display, marked as secondary on Gnome display settings, is blank. Expected results: The login screen should be displayed. Additional info: It seems that somehow the display is recognized, as if it weren't, then the login screen would be visible on the external monitor (primary). If I hit "Enter" and type in my password, I can login just fine, but the screen just happens to be "blank". I'm attaching: - the yum.log, to show which packages were last updated (I have no idea if I correctly selected the component), - two Xorg.0.log files, the first being the one collected right after boot, the second after the exercise of changing the resolution of the built-in display (secondary), which results in the screen being back to life - dmesg, which might provide some help about my machine - boot.log, although I'm not sure if it's helpful at all.

Created attachment 897261 [details] yum.log, which might provide an idea on which component is at fault
Is there any progress, thoughts or comments about this? It's really annoying having to set the "secondary built-in" display to a lower resolution and back after every login :-)
This has been fixed.
