It was discovered that when using Pulp with Qpid while using SSL, the cyrus-sasl-plain package is required for correct functionality.  This is not present in the docs and should be.  Also, a FAQ entry should be added relating the no mechanisms agreed upon error message to this note.

Also the PR 1209 got merged into 2.5-dev. It also did not get merged forward.
