Comment 2 mulhern 2014-05-23 21:46:34 UTC
Description of problem:

Failure to boot at all if updates image specified using inst.updates=...
Nice error message if the updates URL is a bad one, so that's not the problem.
If same updates URL specified with previous version of anaconda it is downloaded
just fine.
If no updates image is specified, boot proceeds just fine.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

anaconda-21.37

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use inst.updates to specify an updates image at some valid URL.

Actual results:

See screenshot attached.

Expected results:

updates image is succesfully downloaded and boot proceeds.

Additional info:

Perhaps this is a dracut bug?

It hangs rather than terminates; at least setting rd.shell gives no shell after 20 minutes of waiting and setting rd.debug gives endless unreadable output.

Comment 4 Brian Lane 2014-05-27 21:51:25 UTC
Works fine for me with 21.37

Comment 5 mulhern 2014-05-28 12:24:56 UTC
This was also reported in Comment 4 in bz#1100137.

Comment 6 mulhern 2014-05-28 12:32:23 UTC
Works fine for the boot.iso that I downloaded today.
