This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

Comment 2 Fabian Deutsch 2016-01-08 12:00:25 UTC
Is this actually still an issue?

How could bug 1101359 be filed if this bug was still an issue?

Comment 3 Chris Murphy 2016-01-09 17:02:23 UTC
Yes it's still an issue. The grub2-2.02-0.25.fc23 grub2.spec file doesn't drag in blscfg.module into the signed grubx64.efi file, so it's not available.

In bug 1101359, I've manually made blscfg.mod available by installing grub2-efi-modules, then copying /usr/lib/grub/x86_64-efi/ to the EFI system partition at EFI/fedora/

Comment 4 Fabian Deutsch 2016-01-11 14:21:56 UTC
Do you know why it's not beeing pulled into the signed grubx64.efi file?

And do you know how this could be fixed?

Comment 5 Chris Murphy 2016-01-11 22:05:46 UTC
It's a question for Peter. But my guess is, since it doesn't follow either of two written specs, hence bug 1101359, or the ostree BLS variant, and therefore isn't being used by anyone, why bother rolling it in?

Comment 7 Chris Murphy 2016-08-15 17:17:07 UTC
Fabian, I'm not sure if including blscfg.mod in grubx64.efi is still desired on your end, but to move this forward it might make sense to just submit a PR for grub to add it in and see if it's accepted.
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/grub2.git/tree/grub2.spec
Looks like it'd go in line 228:
GRUB_MODULES="	all_video boot btrfs cat chain configfile echo \

Comment 8 Fabian Deutsch 2016-08-15 19:40:53 UTC
Chris, we actually settled with grubby which is mostly doing the job. but yes, opening a PR is probably a good step to learn about the bls acceptance.

Comment 9 Fedora End Of Life 2017-07-25 18:40:07 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 24. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '24'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 24 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 10 Fedora End Of Life 2017-08-08 11:46:51 UTC
Fedora 24 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-08-08. Fedora 24 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
