Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
Verified with sat6 beta snap9 compose2.
From the original bz #1105563, I got to know that the issue was related to menu items.
UI --> Infrastructure --> Compute Resources
UI --> Monitor --> 'Statistics' .
UI --> Monitor --> 'trends' .
UI --> Monitor --> 'Audits
On browsing above menus, UI was giving Blank page with "Not Implemented" message.
Now (with snap9 compose2) I can see Compute Resources page and can create new resource as well, also can create trend based on selected types.
I can also see Audit messages as well statistic page. Looks like the reported issue is not reproducible.
@Scott, Could you please confirm if steps taken to verify this bz are correct ?
Hi Sachin,
This should be tested with the foreman_openstack_plugin installed. Omri should have an environment where this can be verified. This plugin removes that functionality from foreman and hides the menu options.
To verify this bug, once foreman_openstack_plugin is installed, those four menu items should no longer appear. Before the bug fix, the menu deletion was not working, so the not-implemented items were showing up in the navigation.
How much does the OpenStack QE team deal with Foreman? The bug is in core foreman functionality -- but yeah anyone familiar with dealing with foreman in the context of the foreman_openstack_simplify plugin should be able to confirm this. In fact, all it really takes is a knowledge of foreman and how to install plugins -- there's really nothing openstack-specific about the manifestation of this particular bug/ (side note: Mike had the wrong plugin name. foreman_openstack_simplify is the appropriate plugin)
@scott,
No one on the Sat6 team, at this moment, handles anything regarding the foreman_openstack_simplify plugin, or anything openstack-related, really. We don't tend to install plugins outside the sat6 stack.
