Description Sokratis 2014-06-08 17:31:50 UTC
Description of problem: When creating a VM from a template the disks keep the template's name unless you scroll to the bottom of Resource Allocation tab and rename the disks manually.

It would be great if the disks could be renamed automatically based on the VM name or the hostname in cloud-init tab.

Alternatively, a "Disks" tab could be created that includes all the disk related configuration instead of having them at the bottom of Resource allocation tab.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): oVirt 3.4.1

Tal, didn't you already do some work down similar lines for 3.5 ?

Comment 2 Sokratis 2014-06-16 11:59:52 UTC

Comment 5 Amit Aviram 2015-02-16 08:53:47 UTC
This is actually a wider bug than what is described- Any field which is specified in the REST XML regarding the new template's disks is ignored.

Comment 6 Amit Aviram 2015-02-16 08:59:25 UTC
The last comment was is targeted for another bug. please disregard.
