Reported upstream https://github.com/mitsuhiko/flask-babel/issues/58
I made a patch to pass %check in rawhide http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/python-flask-babel.git/commit/?id=b6807c17e90a2663be79e68150f6b4cb610a2af1 Build for rawhide http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=545260 The problem is python-babel (not python-flask-babel) changed a format output. What I did was to update the test case to match the output of latest Babel.
Why did you just hack a fix into the unit tests intead of upgrade to the latest flask-babel which was released almost a year ago? I did a quick test build and 0.9 builds fine in mock without the patch.
Thanks for noticing this. For some reason I was thinking the latest version was already packaged, and made the patch after some weeks of no response to https://github.com/mitsuhiko/flask-babel/issues/58 that probably was silent due to not being able to reproduce the problem with latest Babel and Flask-Babel. I just compared, and I remade the upstream changes to src/tests.py in my patch... I also just confirmed 0.9 it also works with sagemath (the reason I packaged python-flask-babel), and works with Fedora 20 sagemath as well. Basic tests loading the notebook and evaluating some cells. I will make an update, tracked in #1121208
