Description David Tucker 2014-06-09 20:11:49 UTC
When I have a process in an embedded subprocess, I cannot put a boundary event on any of the task nodes on the embedded subprocess. The task nodes is created as an intermediateCatchEvent rather than a boundaryEvent.

Created attachment 907247 [details]
EmbeddedSubProcessBoundaryEvent BPMN Process

I confirm this is a bug and I attach the BPMN Process definition which was created in the BPMN Web Designer. As you can there, the boundary timer event which was attached to the task inside embedded subprocess is intermediate event instead of boundary event. To see that otherwise boundary event are well recognized, see the escalation boundary event attached to the embedded subprocess which was correctly recognized as a boundary event.

Use case is limited, nacking the blocker, QE will investigate on a workaround

Comment 5 Tihomir Surdilovic 2014-06-12 18:30:13 UTC
fixed in designer master and 6.1.x branches

Comment 6 Sona Mala 2014-09-11 08:31:42 UTC
Verified for 6.1.0 DR2.

The attached process is imported with an intermediate event. But I can change it to the boundary event without any problems (the green rectangle is present).
