Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Sergio Ocón-Cárdenas 2014-06-10 12:38:41 UTC
Description of problem:

If you change the configuration for the language in Katello, Foreman still maintains the old one (i.e. you can have parts of the interface in english and half in catello)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Alwasy

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to katello
2. change the configuration for language to en (previously it is based on the browser)
3. go to foreman

Actual results:
language is not configured properly

Expected results:
configuration for satellite is shared between different elements

Additional info:
It should be possible to link configuration, so the customer understands that he's configuring different elements, or just configure them in a single place instead of the original ones.

Hi, can you provide more details on the scenario? E.g. when you mention 'go to katello' and 'change the configuration', where did you specify the language in katello (e.g. page, field)? A screenshot may help as well.

Comment 4 Sergio Ocón-Cárdenas 2014-06-30 16:30:49 UTC
Waiting for beta as I have received feedback from colleagues that the issue is solved in nightly builds.

By the way, I've entered and exited the application, including rebooting the machine to verify that the bug is there

Comment 8 Bryan Kearney 2014-08-11 17:58:25 UTC
6.0.3 and before were not localized. Closing this out.
