Pavel, as explained at http://pwmt.org/projects/zathura-pdf-mupdf/, the Zathura mupdf plugin requires mupdf to be compiled with the -fPIC flag. Would it be possible to add this flag to mupdf? Many thanks for your help, Pablo
http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691887 Does it really make sense to use -fPIC with static libraries?

This is the reply I received to the question I posted in the mailing list (http://lists.pwmt.org/archive/zathura/2014-June/001378.html): Yes, compiling mupdf with -fPIC is necesary. Otherwise building zathura-pdf-mupdf will fail while linking with something like "symbol xyz can not be rellocated, recompile with -fPIC." I’m afraid that this is all Greek to me. But it seems to be a must. Many thanks for your help, Pablo
Please test new build in rawhide
Many thanks for your help, Pavel. I’m closing this bug myself, since zathura-pdf-mupdf might take a while to be built.
