Thank you Simeon for very thorough and clear comments for the whole process!

I am aware of the need of re-testing and I am looking forward to get a new build with those exclusive patches :))

Thank you very much for making this possible.

Comment 7 Simeon Pinder 2014-06-30 06:02:59 UTC
Moving to ON_QA as available for test in latest build:

Simeon, thank you very much for this cumulative patch!!

All Infinispan resources are UP in time as expected. Cache manager Traits and Statistics can be measured successfully.

However, I noticed an issue with reaching measurement Statistics for an Infinispan Cache resource.

This works OK with JON 3.2.0 - latest re-spin and RHQ JMX plug-in 4.11 as I responded earlier.

Please, see attachments of this bug for respective LOGs.

Let me know, if you need me to gather or try anything else for you in order to solve this. I will do it ASAP!

Comment 10 Tomas Sykora 2014-07-01 09:08:17 UTC
The main problem is fixed (availability checks for inVM Infinispan applications deployed on EAP servers).

However, we have found a new problem with getting statistics for Infinispan Cache resource.

Comment 11 Tomas Sykora 2014-07-01 09:19:12 UTC
Note: JDG CR1 server plug-in for JON works OK with this cumulative patch. (it shouldn't be affected at all, smoke testing just for a good measure and sleeping tight)

Comment 12 Tomas Sykora 2014-07-01 11:16:43 UTC
Setting priority to URGENT -- to reflect JDG 6.3 GA release schedule

Comment 13 Simeon Pinder 2014-07-01 14:13:29 UTC
Hi Tomas, thx for the attachment. We're going to need a bit more information to figure out what's going on:
i)Can you also include/attach the JON server and Agent logs as well?
ii)Can we check that this isn't due to a browser refresh issue here? Does the issue still occur after Shift + F5 in the browser?

Comment 14 Tomas Sykora 2014-07-01 14:34:18 UTC
Are you kidding me??
Ctrl+R in Firefox solves this issue immediately.

I am very sorry and please accept VERIFIED status of this BZ as my sincere apology!

Awesome :)

Explicit Note: We are considering customers to use newest cumulative patch for JON with JDG 6.3.0.GA

Comment 16 Simeon Pinder 2014-07-09 13:56:30 UTC
This is the latest build of the rhq-jmx-plugin. JON QE found two additional issues with the earlier build(ems version 1.3.5-rhq -> 1.3.6-rhq) so a rebuild was necessary and passes all JON tests.

http://jon01.mw.lab.eng.bos.redhat.com:8042/dist/release/jon/3.2.2.GA/7-3-2014/

@Tomas, can you re-verify with these latest bits?

Comment 17 Tomas Sykora 2014-07-10 12:41:12 UTC
Re-VERIFIED those fresh bits right now.

We are OK here guys! It's working with latest JDG 6.3.0.CR3 plugins which were release today as well.

To sum it up:

From my point of view, plugins from JDG 6.3.0.CR3 can go into final plugin pack. I will also notify customers using our release notes, that in order to solve availability check time out issue in our library applications + JON, they need to use JON 3.2.2 release.

Last question: Is that ^^^ ok? To "redirect" them to JON 3.2.2, right? IIUC, they should find the whole plugin pack there (after release date, etc.)

I will be actively seeking for any other requests for our JDG QE side.

Thanks Simeon!!

This has been verified and released in Red Hat JBoss Operations Network 3.2 Update 02 (3.2.2) available from the Red Hat Customer Portal[1].
