Description of problem:

Unable to update bios on dell laptop using smbios utils as dell_rbu driver (code for which is part of the kernel sources) is not supplied with kernel

# modprobe dell_rbu


Actual results:

dell_rbu not found

We've disabled this driver because it's incompatible with the way udev and the kernel are configured to load firmware in Fedora.
