gluster volume restart <vol-name> would be a really handy feature to have. Although it adds nothing new, will save a few keystrokes.

There are volume set options (example: compression and that "allow-insecure" libgfapi one) that requires the volume to be stopped and started to take effect. It turns out, this is a bug (or rather a short-coming) that the graph change detection algorithm is not capable of handling addition of a translator to the server-side graph. This is slated to be fixed in near future.
