Description Lukas Svaty 2014-06-24 17:05:11 UTC
Description of problem:
When you open login screen, fill credentials (login/password), close the browser and tab and reopen this page, Login is filled. But when password is inserted error "This field can't be empty" appears. This is a bug on firefox and propably need a fix from firefox side. In our case sufficient would be to empty the Login field.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-30.0-4.fc19.x86_64
rhevm-3.4 / rhevm3.5

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open my-engine.xx/ovirt-engine/webadmin
2. Fill Login and password (do not submit)
3. Close tab in firefox
4. Re-open tab in firefox (Control+Shift+T)

Actual results:
Login field is filled and editable, however after filling password and submitting, "This field can't be empty" on Login field appears.

Expected results:
Login field should be empty or behave correctly with inserted value.

Comment 1 Einav Cohen 2014-06-26 14:15:29 UTC
Nice catch, Lukas.
I prefer to not workaround this problem - FF is automatically filling this field, and I prefer to not mess with the results of FF's automatic behavior, not to mention that I am not sure if this will actually solve the problem.

I am moving this BZ to be on FF.

FF dev: please see attachment 912433 [details] for a screen-cast that demonstrates the problem.
I followed the exact Steps to Reproduce from Comment #0.
thanks.

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2015-01-09 21:25:32 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 19 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 19. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now this bug will
be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '19'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 19 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 5 Martin Stransky 2015-01-21 14:04:25 UTC
Do you still see that? If so, can you please provide some test web page? Thanks!

Comment 7 Jaroslav Reznik 2015-03-03 16:03:46 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

Comment 8 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 20:29:13 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
