Did you click on the link for getting more backgrounds? Here this works well, but it pointed me to an site without backgrounds. https://wiki.gnome.org/Personalizationbackgrounds/ So this should be fixed.

Sorry for the confusing word 'refreshing',coincidentally I was doing another similar stuff that time. Yes, I clicked on the link for getting more backgrounds. I tried again just now and this time it didn't have abrt appear, so I guess it just may not be very stable, or get along well with current online environment either. I remember that site had themes and wallpapers before though not now. Well I don't use MATE too much. Do codes of those apps like changing themes remain the same? If they do maybe they need a litte modifying to suit new changes, I think.
