This is a known issue, introduced when backporting subscription-manager to rhel 5.11.
I think this issue worth to fix, in RHEL7.x and RHEL6.x the "i" icon works fine, I don't know why we leave this unfixed?
It's most likely a gtk bug/change, the same code works great on other OSs. I'd prefer not to mess with any code in that area, it's not worth the risk breaking other stuff this late in the cycle.
