Created attachment 912959 [details] screen shot of error popup Description of problem: I install one centos 6.5 virtual machine using "browse local" to get to the directory that holds the image on an external USB drive: zooty> ls /backup/iso-images/CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD/ CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso md5sum.txt* Later, after the USB drive has been unmounted and remounted probably a few times, I try to install another centos 6.5 VM. This time a storage pool shows up for the CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD directory, but if I click on it, no iso image is visible. If I do browser local again, I can navigate to the directory and pick the iso it wouldn't show me, but when I try to continue the install from that point I get an error popup about "could not find media". I have to delete the storage pool, then use browse local before I can get past the point of providing the iso to install from. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): virt-manager-1.0.1-3.fc20.noarch How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: 1.see above 2. 3. Actual results: Always tells me there is no media Expected results: find the file that is in fact right there :-). Additional info:
The issue is that the storage pool needs to be refreshed. F20 may still have issues here, but F21+ should refresh storage pools when importing them, and it provides a button to manually refresh the storage pool from the storage browser. So closing this as CURRENTRELEASE for f21, but if anyone can still reproduce weirdness here with F21+, please reopen and provide virt-manager --debug output when reproducing
