Description Darren Coleman 2014-07-02 14:26:19 UTC
The s-ramp-distro-assembly pulls in 2 different versions of ModeShape, 3.6.0 for EAP 6.1 and 3.8.1 for EAP 6.2+.

This causes problems for prod builds as we're trying to align to 1 specific version of ModeShape - currently 3.8.1.GA-redhat-1, however there is no available artifact matching org.modeshape:modeshape-distribution:zip:jbosseap-61-dist:3.8.1.GA-redhat-1.

Comment 2 Brett Meyer 2014-07-02 19:56:22 UTC
Corrected upstream. Instead of declaring it as an actual dependency, we now manually pull down the jar with maven-dependency-plugin, then use a fileSet in the assembly.

Comment 3 Julian Coleman 2014-07-02 20:07:07 UTC
Can we just skip the ModeShape EAP 6.1 distribution entirely and only use the 6.2/6.3 distribution?

Comment 4 Brett Meyer 2014-07-02 20:14:24 UTC
Upstream, no. The subsystem API changed quite a bit between EAP 6.1 and 6.2. Upstream, we still want to support 6.1, so both ModeShape distros are needed in our assembly (the new one will *not* work with 6.1). But, at least now, it's not an explicit dependency...
