Description of problem: pulp-puppet-module-builder can be used to prepare a synchronizable repository of Puppet content, but it requires operating on module "source." Since, for example, Puppet Forge provides modules as tar files, it would be nice if you could run pulp-puppet-module-builder against a folder full of tar files directly.
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.
Created attachment 916155 [details] manifest builder This is a simple bash script that will make a PULP_MANIFEST out of any files you give it. There is a lot of value in having this be separate from pulp_puppet_module_builder, since users may need to make a manifest file from other file types (such as isos).
Can you confirm the files contain built puppet modules. Or, do they contain module source?
My reading is that this refers to a directory of built puppet modules, in tar form as they come from puppet forge. Since they are already built, there is nothing for pulp-puppet-module-builder to do, so I am closing this. Please re-open if there is a change you think we should make.
