Description of problem:
as summary

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
v3.8.9 on test server

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click the "search cases" under the TESTING menu
2.then check the developers console

Actual results:
there is a *TypeError: $(...) is null* in the console.

Expected results:
it should be al right without wrong in the console.
