From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4.1) Gecko/20031114 Description of problem: with the most recent kernel update kernel-2.4.22-1.2129.nptl, my computer just freezes just after the point in startup where the show details/hid details screen is. the keyboard leds begin to blink and the only option is to hit the reset button (ctrl-alt-bksp,ctrl-alt-del don't do anything). the last kernel was fine. not sure what problem is. booting into single user mode with this kernel is ok. Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists.
