Description neal 2014-07-18 13:38:34 UTC
Description of problem:
Would it be possible to have ganeti in the epel repository?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ganeti-2.11

Additional info:
"Ganeti is a cluster virtual server management software tool built on top of existing virtualization technologies such as Xen or KVM and other open source software."

It is rather thought as private cloud / cluster management tool and is really simple to setup, one it is installed.
With Debian you simply install the package, do a gnt-cluster init and you can already create VMs with gnt-instance add.

Currently I'm running Debian stable on my nodes because it is easier and I would like to switch to CentOS 7

Ive already packaged it.

You should post this to wish list instead of asking here.

Comment 2 Christopher Meng 2014-07-18 14:18:57 UTC
If I have time, I will post the package on the next Monday.

Christopher, are you interested in co-maintainership? I'm happy to leave it with you if you already have everything handled, but I'd like to get this in for el6 as well. I'll certainly help with a review when the time comes.

Hi, I wanted to ask if there are any updates on this?

Comment 5 Mattia Verga 2020-07-11 08:01:28 UTC
Not a package review request, please use the appropriate channels for requesting software packaging (mailing lists)
