Description of problem:
It would be good if boot loader could detect proper kernel to boot and
use it so after install installer can just call pivot_root to switch
to installed system without even need to reboot the system.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2003-12-17 01:09:43 UTC
This would require far too much space on boot images and too many
different copies of modules to fill up ramdisk space. Not to mention
basically the impossibility of detecting this within a boot loader.
