OK, may somehow be arch-specific, my x86_64 laptop demonstrates the problem as described. I'm seeing " and up-arrow characters on page 6
Hi Germano, what does "fc-match symbol" returns? It can be a wrong font. I can reproduce the issue if I install google-croscore-symbolneu-fonts. Regards Marek
Indeed, on system that is bad: $ fc-match symbol SymbolNeu.ttf: "Symbol Neu" "Regular" On system good: $ fc-match symbol s050000l.pfb: Standard Symbols L" "Regular"
I can no longer reproduce the bug. Perhaps an update solved the problem. $ fc-match symbol s050000l.pfb: "Standard Symbols L" "Regular"
I suppose that the font is the google-croscore-symbolneu-fonts then. I'm closing this as a duplicate of the bug #1037882. Regards Marek *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1037882 ***
