New NetworkManager packages moved Wi-Fi support to a plugin that is contained in NetworkManager-wifi package. The package should be installed on updates due to "Obsoletes" directive in the spec. I guess it should work and believe that there are other reasons why the package is not pulled in (e.g. missing repo keys, etc.). See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1109517#c15 Paolo, could you check whether the NetworkManager-wifi was about to be installed by yum. What about dnf?
I can try again in a VM as soon as fedup is supported. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1109517 ***
