Description of problem: An initial heads-up that 0.0.3 does not seem to build with ghc-7.8 and I note that Debian now has a newer/different version 1.0.0 though it is not on hackage yet. https://packages.debian.org/source/sid/haskell-setlocale Since we are planning to update rawhide soon to ghc-7.8 I guess we will also need the newer version.
Okay so apparently this is due to setlocale-0.0.3 being Public Domain and the original author being from Germany (where there is no Public Domain) and he also seems to be uncontactable. https://lists.debian.org/debian-haskell/2014/07/msg00007.html Sven Bartscher also informed us that the upstream location is: http://pkg-haskell.alioth.debian.org/setlocale/ .
