Description Jeff Needle 2014-09-08 15:17:07 UTC
The colors of the squares shown in the Hosts table don't match those used in the Dashboard. Are they supposed to match up? or are they actually different? At first glance I feel like they're trying to show the same information.

I have 6 systems that show in this installer, both on the Dashboard and All Hosts.

On the Dashboard:
2 systems are "Hosts that had performed modifications without error" in dark blue.
2 systems are "Good host reports in the last 35 minutes" in green.
2 systems are "Out of sync hosts" in a lighter blue.

On the All Hosts screen:
2 systems are green, with a letter of O, which the tooltip says means "No changes".
2 systems are orange, with a letter of S, which the tooltip says means "Out of sync".
2 systems are blue, with a letter of A, which the tooltip says means "Active".

I'm not entirely sure the difference between something that doesn't have errors, and something that's given back a good report, but I'm not sure the difference between No changes and Active either.

Out of sync changes colors from light blue to orange, but the other colors seem to have translated across between the two screens and stayed consistent.

The Dashboard rolls up to indicate that 33% of my hosts are Active, and yet if you search that page with the browser for Active, that's the only occurence of the word Active. I don't know if that's talking about the green or the blue systems. Are hosts that modified without errors active? Are hosts that gave back good reports active?

It really seems like there's supposed to be consistency in the statuses reported back in the Dashboard and All Hosts screen, but there's just enough difference that I'm not sure...

Closing list of bugs for RHEL OSP Installer since its support cycle has already ended [0]. If there is some bug closed by mistake, feel free to re-open.

For new deployments, please, use RHOSP director (starting with version 7).
