Description Jiri Belka 2014-09-10 09:22:31 UTC
Created attachment 936074 [details]
screenshot

Description of problem:
Last column is not large enough for text and odd dotted underline under Display Network. Tested on FF 31.1.0. Hovering with mouse over dotted underlined 'Display Network' shows help tooltip text, this is unusual inconsistency of style, we have (?) for help tooltip texts.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhevm-webadmin-portal-3.5.0-0.10.master.el6ev.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. check the dialog
2.
3.

Actual results:
see above

Expected results:
last column should be bigger not to cut the text and either dotted underline should be dropped totally or replaced with (?) icon text to 'Display Network'

Tested this on FF 22/24 and the last column is displayed properly.
@Liz, can you take a look at the 'Display Network' issue and suggest what should be the best way to handle tool-tip in this case?

Thanks,
Nir

Comment 2 Jiri Belka 2014-09-23 08:51:32 UTC
FF 22/24 has never been supported as well, iirc only FF17 and now it should support FF31 as it was released for RHEL6.

Comment 3 Liz 2015-02-17 15:33:30 UTC
@Nir, It's definitely more typical of a User Experience design to allow space for a ? icon that either the user can hover over or click on to view help text around what the column name means. I think we should head in this direction.

Comment 4 Liz 2015-02-18 19:05:50 UTC
@Nir, I chatted with Einav further on this and it sounds like Eldan is hoping to replace the ? icons with the dotted line approach through out the application. Eldan - can you confirm? I'm okay with this approach as long as it's consistent across the application.

Comment 5 Eldan Hildesheim 2015-02-19 11:05:45 UTC
dotted line - Indeed. I also created a css of it since it's not supported by all Browsers.
Also, we should try to build the dialogue big enough, French, Deutsch... are problematic language that will take more space.
Thought: We should apply in ALL Modals our small arrow to allow enlarging window modal.

Moving from 4.0 alpha to 4.0 beta since 4.0 alpha has been already released and bug is not ON_QA.

Unfortunately, we are not likely to get to fix this.
