Description of problem:
Whilst creating slides for a presentation I discovered %filter does
not appear to work (or if it does the output is invisible)

Eg

%filter "uname -r"
%endfilter

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
MagicPoint-1.10a-5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. cd /usr/share/$(rpm -q MagicPoint)/sample
2. mgp sample.mgp
3. go to slide 12
    

Actual Results:  no output from filter

Expected Results:  see output of ls and output of rev

Additional info:

Tested on fc1 and rawhide

Additional testing revealed need to run with -U
