Comment 1 Eyal Edri 2014-10-01 08:17:37 UTC
this bug wasn't included in the rhev 3.4.3 tracker bug and missed the build date of the build, hence moving to 3.4.4

Comment 2 Elad 2014-11-19 11:44:17 UTC
Seems that I cannot upload the rhel-guest-image using rhevm-image-uploader:

[root@RHEL6 rhel-guest-image-7.0-20140930.0.x86_64]# engine-image-uploader -e export-lion1 --insecure upload my.ovf
Please provide the REST API password for the admin@internal oVirt Engine user (CTRL+D to abort):
ERROR: Problem connecting to the REST API. Is the service available and does the CA certificate exist?

Tried with --insecure and without, nothing works.

Nikolay, Sandro, maybe you have an idea how to solve it?

Also tried to manually upload the image with the ovf to the export domain, the ovf couln't be listed because of:

2014-11-19 13:24:01,214 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.utils.ovf.OvfManager] (ajp-/127.0.0.1:8702-8) Error parsing OVF due to For input string: "rhel"

For now I can't verify the bug

Comment 3 Sandro Bonazzola 2014-11-19 12:42:48 UTC
Elad can you attach the report from:
 sosreport -o networking -o ovirt
and the output of
 engine-image-uploader --verbose list

Thanks

sosreport

The same for:

[root@RHEL6 rhel-guest-image-7.0-20140930.0.x86_64]# engine-image-uploader --verbose list
Please provide the REST API password for the admin@internal oVirt Engine user (CTRL+D to abort):
ERROR: Problem connecting to the REST API. Is the service available and does the CA certificate exist?

Attaching the sosreport

Comment 7 Elad 2014-11-19 15:48:40 UTC
Tested the folowing:
- Uploaded a rhel-guest-image to export domain using rhevm-image-upload
- Imported the template
- Created a VM from the template, added a NIC
- Started the VM
- Migrated the VM to second host
- Created snapshot with memory for the VM
- Previewed the snapshot and commited it

All went fine, verified using the following:

rhev 3.4.4 av13.1
Both hosts: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.0 (Maipo)
