Additional info: I'm actually on Debian Wheezy and Jessie. And really not sure if the problem is actually in libvirt-bin, but seems to be. I also attach a definition of my virtual machine which can successfully start and stop and so on using libvirt, but not restore the state. And also contents of save file.

Sorry this didn't receive a timely response. There's been lots of arm changes in libvirt since this was filed... can you reproduce with a more recent libvirt version?
