Note: yes, it is fork of libqtxdg. But I (as razorqt and future LXQT maintainer) need:
* qt4
* 0.5.3
* RH6/7 and F19+
So the plan is:
* push [lib]qtxdg into el6/7 and f19+
* repackage razorqt with [lib]qtxdg 0.5.3 (it is possible: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/QtDesktop:/LXQT/Fedora_20/)
* start LXQT

Help me, please.

Does this conflict with libqtxdg? (I'm guessing yes, and if so, how do you plan on dealing with it?)

Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2014-09-27 04:21:19 UTC
Fyi, libqtxdg-0.5.3 is already in rawhide, so is this still needed?

1. it is qt5 only
2. and it is not in f19..f20 and EL6/7

No fear.
libqtxdg provides qt5 libs (with special names): https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/libqtxdg-qt5/

Another problem - that this (qtxdg) package conflicts with libqtxdg from my razorqt package.
Solution is to repackage razorqt with qtxdg-devel-0.5.3. This is my next step.

Comment 5 Rex Dieter 2014-09-27 13:02:33 UTC
My recommendation: abandon this review, and build all libqtxdg-related stuff from the libqtxdg module/package

And as you hinted, that means dropping the bundled one from razorqt to use the system copy instead.

Comment 6 Eugene A. Pivnev 2014-09-27 13:37:55 UTC
Current libqtxdg's maintainer is not callable at all.
Hi don'n want to do anything.
I need qtxdg-0.5.3 for as razorqt as lxqt
For all of EL6/7 and F19+
I'm sorry

File a bug to start the the unresponsive maintainer policy then (and please CC: me if you don't mind)

Submitting the essentially the same software under a different package name is not really acceptable.

Ok, I'll try last chance: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1147204

I'm sorry, but "he doesn't want to do anything" doesn't mean you can introduce redundant packages in the Fedora.

I hope Lubo can solve this soon.

I know that qtxdg is redundant, but libxtdg locks my job - to start LXQT.
Lubo can solve - but don't want.
Help me to stir up.
