Description of problem:
Run vm with cpu pinning drop libvirt error

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhevm-3.4.2-0.0.2.20140825gita78caee.root.el6ev.noarch

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create vm, pin vm to host(choose start on specific host and no migration option), have vm with 1 socket and 1 core, have host with 4 sockets and 5 cores per socket.
2. Pin vm cpu to physical cpu(try pinning 0#9)
3. Start vm

Actual results:
Vm failed to start and drop libvirt error Message: VM some_test_vm is down. Exit message: Unable to write to '/sys/fs/cgroup/cpuset/machine/some_test_vm.libvirt-qemu/vcpu0/cpuset.cpus': Invalid argument.

Expected results:
Vm start successfully

Did you use any NUMA related settings?

Comment 2 Artyom 2014-10-05 10:24:17 UTC
no it's bug for ppc64 architecture and not related to NUMA
