Move Disks UI issues #1

Move Disks dialog is very small and has no scrollbars on the Alias and Source fields

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.5 vt4

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on the Disks tab
2. Select a Disk and click on the Move button

Actual results:
The Move Disk(s) dialog is very narrow by default, other than the Virtual Size column, you will not be able to see the text on the other fields unless clicking on the dropdown menus or selecting the text in the case of the Alias and Source fields

Expected results:
- The dialog can be launched in a wider format so that a standard setup can be fully visible without the need to scroll or click on dropdown menus
- There should be scrollbars on the Alias and Source fields (and possibly the Virtual Size)
- I highly recommend renaming Move Disk(s) to Move Disks and Moving disk(s) to Moving disks, using the plural form is perfectly valid for both the single and multiple disk cases

Einav, what's your take on the "Expected Results"? Makes sense?

+1.

I am not a big fan of scroll-bars in table cells - it clutters the cells.
What needs to be done IMO is:
1. ellipsis + tool-tip for long text (as exists in the main-tab/sub-tab grids, for example - see http://i.imgur.com/P1Yqs6A.png)
2. resizeable columns (just like the the main-tab/sub-tab grids have).

That's a valid suggestion - I don't mind either way.

Scroll bars in a table will not be a good solution, it will completely break the form of the table, this disk allocation table is also used when creating a VM from template, making new template from a VM and move/copy disk dialogs so every change will drag an effect on other popups, I suggest that instead we will put a tooltip on the "alias" and "source" fields so that upon hovering the full name will be revealed, sounds right to you?

Sounds right to me.
Einav - what's your take on this from a UX perspective?

I believe I've already outlined my take in comment #3? or am I missing something?

No, I am. Thanks!

Tal - let's go with that.

'Alias' and 'Source' in the move disk prompt have tooltips. While hovering over them, the full text is shown.
