Description Rafael Soares 2014-10-06 19:26:44 UTC
Description of problem:
According the User Guide, item "4.4 Exporting a Process" [1], when you export in PDF format the Process' documentation values should be included.

"... Note that when exporting to PDF, the output PDF file will contain also the values of the Documentation properties of the Process and its elements." [1]

The PDF generated contains only the Process diagram. The documentation values/properties are not included/printed in the PDF.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.0.2

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new Business Process.
2. Add a new BPMN2 node (eg. a Task)
2. Add some documentation in the Process Dictionary (using the Blue book icon in the menu on top of process modeler)
3. Add some documentation in the BPMN2 node/component (using the righ properties menu > Extra Properties > Documentation Field)
4. Save the process
5. Export to PDF format.

Actual results:
The PDF generated contains only the Process diagram. The documentation values/properties are not included/printed in the PDF.

Expected results:
The values/properties added in the Process Dictionary and in the (Properties (BPMN Diagram) > Properties Menu (Righ side) > Extra Properties > Documentation field) should be listed in the PDF exported.

This BZ states that Documentation is not included in PDF after exporting a process... I can reproduce it on BPM Suite 6.0.3 and 6.1.0.

At the bottom of the page [1], doc states:

"Note that when exporting to PDF, the output PDF file will contain also the values of the Documentation properties of the Process and its elements."

Are we missing something?

The export to PDF currently only exports the image. Adding documentation and other information as well was considered but never implemented yet afaik.
