Description Mikhail Campos 2014-10-07 11:04:26 UTC
Spec URL: https://plageat.fedorapeople.org/chrootuid.spec
SRPM URL: https://plageat.fedorapeople.org/chrootuid-1.3-1.fc20.src.rpm
Description: Chrootuid makes it easy to run a network service at low privilege level and
with restricted file system access. It can be used for running network daemons
in a minimal environment: the daemons have access only to their own directory
tree and can be run under a low-privileged user id. The arrangement greatly
reduces the impact of possible loopholes in daemon software

Also this is my first package and I need a sponsor.

Comment 1 Miroslav Suchý 2014-10-27 14:11:01 UTC
hmm does it have sense? You can use:
  systemd-nspawn -D /srv/chroot -u <USER>

Comment 2 Mikhail Campos 2014-10-29 12:46:13 UTC
Actually, yes, and systemd-nspawn seems to be a better solution.
Perhaps, the only reason to have chrootuid is back-compatibility, for example, when we are porting some software from non-systemd os.

Comment 3 Vladimir Stackov 2014-12-16 08:13:19 UTC
Greetings,

You don't need lines 39, 40, 15 if you are not building this package for EL5/F12 or below.

Also please include chrootuid_license by %license instead of %doc and do not use %doc for man files, include them as a plain files.

Please note that this is informal review.

Comment 4 Mikhail Campos 2014-12-16 12:19:57 UTC
Thank you for informal review.

This is an automatic check from review-stats script.

This review request ticket hasn't been updated for some time. We're sorry
it is taking so long. If you're still interested in packaging this software
into Fedora repositories, please respond to this comment clearing the
NEEDINFO flag.

You may want to update the specfile and the src.rpm to the latest version
available and to propose a review swap on Fedora devel mailing list to increase
chances to have your package reviewed. If this is your first package and you
need a sponsor, you may want to post some informal reviews. Read more at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_get_sponsored_into_the_packager_group.

Without any reply, this request will shortly be considered abandoned
and will be closed.
Thank you for your patience.
