Description Javier Peña 2014-10-08 15:12:27 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently PackStack supports registering systems to Red Hat Satellite 5 and directly into Red Hat Network using subscription-manager. It would be good to add support for Red Hat Satellite 6 into the mix.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install openstack-packstack
2. Check for Satellite registration options

Actual results:

Can only specify Satellite 5 options

Expected results:

Should be able to specify a Satellite 6 server.

Additional info:

Looking at plugins/serverprep_001.py, it should be easy to add a pointer to the katello-ca-consumer-[hostname]-1.0-1.noarch.rpm URL, and then install the package prior to running subscription-manager.

This bug was accidentally moved from POST to MODIFIED via an error in automation, please see mmccune with any questions

Comment 5 Christopher Brown 2017-06-17 17:32:18 UTC
Not sure if it can yet?
Is this even in scope for a PoC type install?

Comment 6 Javier Peña 2017-06-19 08:21:50 UTC
The patch was merged some time ago, I think this can be either closed or QA'd.

Comment 7 Christopher Brown 2017-06-19 08:23:02 UTC
Thanks Javier, closing then.
