Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Hi,

I wanted to check the status for this bug report as it has been waiting for long. Is it fixed with the release of 7.2 or is it being considered for RHEL-7.3 ?

Please let us know so that we can communicate the status to our customers accordingly.

Thanks & Regards,
Jigar Raisinghani

Comment 18 Carlos Soriano 2016-01-05 16:35:01 UTC
Hi,

The code changed completely on everything related to this code path for 7.2 (no gtkuimanager anymore)

We can't really know if it is fixed just with a backtrace, but probably it is as a side effect of the rewrite.that

Comment 19 Carlos Soriano 2016-04-28 13:00:55 UTC
Seems my previous comment got cut.

Is it reproducible to you in 7.3 or nautilus 3.16, 3.18 or 3.20?

Comment 20 David Jaša 2016-04-29 08:19:19 UTC
Hi, I didn't see it in 7.3 yet. I can't say for sure however as I didn't see the crash frequently in 7.2 either.

Comment 22 Ondrej Holy 2019-05-24 15:31:16 UTC
Nautilus 3.8 seems to be the latest version for which I see those crashes: https://retrace.fedoraproject.org/faf/problems/?opsysreleases=71&component_names=nautilus&function_names=nautilus_list_view_finalize, but nautilus 3.14 and 3.22 have been in RHEL for some time already and now we have nautilus 3.26. There isn't any reproducer, so I am going to close this as WONTFIX. Please reopen if you still see those crashes.
