dmi command output

Description of problem:
The backlight control buttons (Fn+F5 for dimming, Fn+F6 for brightening) do not change the brightness on ASUS Zenbook UX301LA. Following the troubleshooting guidelines here:
http://hansdegoede.livejournal.com/13889.html

the dmi.log and dmesg output are attached for kernel version 3.16.1-301.fc21.x86_64 included in the Fedora 21 alpha release.

No onscreen display is shown when pressing the backlight control keys and evemu-record does not show any events occurring when pressing these buttons for any input device.

This is a known issue. The upstream kernel cannot handle the way these machines have their devices setup in ACPI. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81762

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There are a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 21 kernel bugs.

Fedora 21 has now been rebased to 3.18.3-201.fc21. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

I have the same problem with a ASUS Zenbook UX31A, with kernel 3.18.8 on Fedora 21. Strangely, the control buttons where working with my previous F19 installation.
