Description of problem: If I type something with Russian Legacy XKB kayout and then with rusle (ibus-table), firefox menus stop working. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ibus-table-1.9.1-1.fc19.noarch How reproducible: Almost always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In control center add "Русская (устаревшая)" XKB and "русский (устаревшая)" from ibus-tables. 2. Run firefox and navigate to google.com 3. Switch to "Русская (устаревшая)" XKB and type something in a search field 4. Switch to "русский (устаревшая)" from ibus-tables and type sometime in a search field 5. Press Right mouse button 5a. Click any menu from tool bar Actual results: Menus do not appear. In fact, they do but for a very short period, almost invisible. Expected results: Menus should still work. Additional info: The effect is very similar to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libdbusmenu-qt/+bug/1035755 but the conditions look entirely different.
I cannot reproduce that. (Fedora 20, ibus-table-1.9.1-1.fc20.noarch, firefox-33.0-1.fc20.x86_64)

I had this effect several times myself already, but I could never reproduce it again, it seems quite random to me so far.
You mean you _can_ reproduce that, although not very reliably? Maybe trying F19 will help? If not, let me know what info or debugging I can do for you. I am getting this problem very easily.

It sometimes “happens” me but I am pretty sure it also happened to me when I was not using ibus-table at all.
Yes, if I restart an X server, it isn't reproduceable for some time. Something else needs to be done before the algorithm of comment#0 starts working...
If this will ever happen to you again, please do the following: 1. re-open firefox 2. make sure menus work again 3. proceed with the steps in comment #0. They will work. You can repeat the experiment any times you want, but as soon as you re-start the X server, something else needs to be done to make it repeatable again.
Actually this bug is very reproducable and very annoying. Mike, may I ask you to keep the both layouts configured, so that you can do that test from time to time when working with ff? I guess just 2-3 times in a day and you'll reproduce that very soon...
This message is a notice that Fedora 19 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 19. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '19'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 19 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 19 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-01-06. Fedora 19 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
