Please try the latest kernels from FC development and see if this is fixed. We are currently at kernel-2.6.3-2.1.238.
I tested this against kernel 2.6.3-2.1.240smp and I have the same problem as above.
Please test the same non-SMP kernel of the same version and report back.
Tested the non-SMP kernel and got the same problem.
Please test 2.6.5-1.326 which will probably be the test3 kernel. If that does not work please search LKML if other people are having similar problems. Has this worked on any previous version of Fedora Core or Red Hat Linux?
My ide-floppy device (CLICK rather than ZIP) is working with test3.
my zip100 ide device is working in test3 2.6.5-350 kernel which i just updated to. Booted with zip disk in place and without from commandline and from gnome desktop
Closing as fixed in test3. Please reopen if its still broken for you.
