According to BZ 1157709 and [1], the issue [2], [3] was fixed in jruby 1.7.16.1. Rawhide has been updated to 1.7.19 [4].

As noted on BZ 974094, the jruby update entails dependencies missing and incompatible with those in F20, so a port backwards is unlikely.
