Description Bill Gianopoulos 2014-10-28 23:15:34 UTC
Description of problem:

I am unable to update form fedora 20 to fedora21 alpha via fedup. My bug on this was duped to a a bug that is now closed but I still have no working fedup command. Please do NOT close this bug unless you can actually provide a fedup command that will actually accomplish the update from fedora 20 to fedora 21.

I put an urgent on this because this needs to be addressed before beta.

Closed bug was bug 1099299

Bugzilla is not a support forum. It's fine to ask questions like this, just please do it through appropriate support channels - we have enough of them, the test@ list, #fedora-qa on IRC, the forums, and Ask Fedora to name a few.

Bugzilla is for tracking *bugs*, that is specific errors or inadequacies or omissions or whatever in specific chunks of code. This is not a bug, and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1099299 was correctly closed because the specific bug in fedup-dracut that it exists to track was fixed. I realize it can occasionally be frustrating trying to figure out how to do something based on information in Bugzilla, but please do be aware that the *primary purpose* of Bugzilla is not to communicate information to users, but for developers to track the work of fixing issues in their projects.
